Myanmar (Burma): Bago (8 images)
Bago, formerly known as Pegu, is a good place to stop on the way back from the Golden Rock. It's around 80 kilometres north of Yangon, and has plenty of interest for a relaxed afternoon including the 55-metre Shwe Tha Lyaung reclining Buddha, the newer Mya Thar Lyaung Buddha image is located next to it, Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Kyaik Pun Pagoda, and a handful of cheroot factories.
